Welcome

Welcome to the University of Toronto’s Mindfulness Meditation Group!

The Mindfulness Meditation Group at the University of Toronto (MMG UofT) aims to help members overcome struggles such as against anxiety, stress, and depression, which arise through various pressures in student and work life.

We focus on rejuvenating the mental and physical well being of members through organized meditation, education and social outreach sessions based on the Theravada Buddhist tradition, with the help of the monks of Buddha Meditation Centre of GTA (Mahamevnawa Bhavana Asapuwa).

Our experienced monks teach mindfulness practices such as breathing meditation, loving-kindness meditation and many more. We also offer opportunities to practice chanting for protection and happiness. Discussions and questions are highly encouraged and will be answered through the real teachings of the Buddha.

We welcome all students, staff and alumni of the University of Toronto to become a member.
